Setting Up Your A Healthy Passion Meal Planning Account

If you want to get on track with your health cooking from scratch and planning ahead is KEY ! That’s why I created A Healthy Passion, to simplify the process of BOTH planning and cooking so you can reach your goals + have more time to spend on the things you love.

A Healthy Passion software can do SO much but here’s a little tutorial to walk you through some of my favorite features. And if you want more info on setting up My Fitness Pal and tracking macros I did a whole post on that topic. 

So let’s dive right in!

Here’s how to set your macros using the numbers My Fitness Pal gives you!

First, log in to your account and then click user —> macro settings and start by setting your default settings. If you’re carb cycling you’ll want to then set each day of the week to match your goals keeping in mind net carbs will override macros.














Once everything looks good click “save settings” and now it’s time to make your first list. To do so you’ll click “cookbook” and then “create list”.








You’ll give your list a name and then click “save”. To add recipes to your list you can either search for specific ingredients or recipes by clicking the “search” button.






Or you can get recipe recommendations to fit your macro goals by clicking “recipes” and either view recommendations by day or the entire week.








To add recipes to your list you’ll click the recipe name and then “add to list” selecting which list you want to add it to.







Once your list is complete and you’re ready to shop you’ll click “cookbook” and select which list you want to shop. You’ll click the icon with the three bars to view your list and then the shopping cart icon will add the recipes to your shopping list.








You’ll then select how many portions and what pantry items are needed for each recipe.








To shop you’ll click the shop icon and either view your shopping list or click the “instacart” button for grocery delivery.

How to cook once you have your groceries. 

You’ll go to your AHP account and click “cookbook” then select the list that you’re using and then click the recipe title. Scroll down until you see the recipe!

Entering recipes into My Fitness Pal.

You’ll click the recipe title and then scroll until you see the recipe code.







You’ll take that code and go to your My Fitness Pal and click food and add food. You’ll then type in the AHP code leaving a space between the AHP and number and click search.
